Fun First. Safety Always.
Every rental from Bounce, Parties & Events follows these guidelines so your guests can play hard and you can relax. They're simple, they're clear, and they keep everyone safe.
Quick-scan safety rules
Most incidents are preventable. Follow these eight rules and your event stays fun from start to finish.
Adult Supervision Required
A responsible adult must actively supervise the inflatable at all times while it's in use.
Age & Size Grouping
Keep riders of similar age and size together. Mixing big kids with toddlers is the fastest way someone gets hurt.
Shoes, Glasses & Jewelry Off
Remove shoes, eyeglasses, dangling jewelry, and anything sharp before anyone enters the unit.
No Food, Drinks, Gum, or Silly String
Keep snacks, drinks, gum, and silly string outside the inflatable. They stain, stick, and void coverage.
Occupancy Limits
Never exceed the posted max rider count for that unit. The number is printed on the safety sign.
No Flips or Rough Play
No somersaults, wrestling, climbing walls, or hanging from netting. Bounce feet-first and stay in control.
Weather Shutdown at 15+ MPH Winds
If sustained winds reach 15 mph, evacuate the unit, unplug blowers, and let it deflate. Manufacturer rule, not ours.
Generator & Electrical Safety
Blowers stay plugged in and running the entire time the unit is occupied. Never unplug while riders are inside.
Printable safety sheet & operator agreement
Post this one-pager near the inflatable during your event. It covers the essential rules and includes a signature line for the adult operator.
When is a professional attendant required?
For corporate, church, school, and any organizational event, a trained attendant is required and already bundled into your price. For private parties, you may supervise the unit yourself if a responsible adult 21+ is present and agrees to the operator rules.
Remember: When an attendant is optional, a responsible adult 21+ must remain at the unit and acknowledge the operator agreement.
- Corporate & company events
- Church functions & ministries
- School field days & PTO events
- Any public or organizational gathering
- Private backyard birthday parties
- Family reunions
- Small residential gatherings
How we set up safely
Real process shots you can expect from our crew at every event.
Staking & sandbagging
Every unit is staked or sandbagged to the ground before riders are allowed inside.
Power & GFCI protection
We use GFCI-protected outlets and commercial-grade extension cords for safe power.
Crew safety walkthrough
Our crew reviews the rules with you before we leave so everyone is on the same page.
Attended attractions
Dunk tanks and larger attractions always include a trained attendant when required.
Site prep checklist
A little prep goes a long way. Complete these steps before our crew arrives so setup is fast, safe, and stress-free.
Clear the setup area of sticks, rocks, toys, and furniture
Remove pet waste and keep pets indoors or away from the unit
Check overhead clearance: at least 18–20 ft for most inflatables
Verify gate/fence widths for crew access (minimum 3–4 ft)
Mark or move sprinklers, irrigation lines, and septic covers
Have a working outlet within 100 ft, or reserve a generator
Leave a clear path from the truck to the setup location
Confirm the surface is grass, asphalt, or concrete — no gravel or mud
Wind shutdown at 15+ mph
Inflatables must be evacuated and deflated immediately if sustained winds reach 15 mph or higher. This is a manufacturer safety standard, not a suggestion. When in doubt, get everyone out.
- Evacuate all riders calmly and quickly
- Unplug blowers and let the unit deflate
- Wait for winds to drop before re-inflating
- See our full Weather Policy for reschedules and refunds
Dunk tank safety rules
Dunk tanks are a blast, but they come with their own set of rules. Here's how we keep them safe.
Adult attendant supervision required at all times
No glass containers near the tank
Max weight limit: 250 lbs per seat
No diving or jumping — controlled seat-release only
Water + fun = extra caution
Dunk tanks and water slides always need a clear landing zone, a non-slip path, and a watchful eye.
Add a dunk tankWater slides need extra attention
A clear slide path, dry hands on the ladder, and one rider at a time keep the splash zone safe.
Water slide & splash rules
Water slides are some of our most popular rentals, and they come with a few extra rules to keep the fun flowing.
One rider at a time on most slides — follow posted capacity
Slide feet-first, never head-first or standing
Wait until the landing area is clear before sliding
No goggles, jewelry, or loose clothing in the water path
No running, pushing, or horseplay on wet surfaces
Water slides shut down at 15+ mph winds or lightning
Concessions & generator safety
Popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and generators make the party better — as long as everyone respects the hot parts and exhaust rules.
Hot surfaces
Popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cone machines get hot. Keep curious hands away while they are running and during cool-down.
No open oil or reservoirs
Never open heating chambers, oil reservoirs, or augers while a concession machine is on. Our crew does not handle refills — only a supervised adult 21+ should refill or service concession equipment.
Generator placement
Generators must be placed outdoors only — never inside a tent, garage, or enclosed space. They must be refueled only when turned off and cool, and only operated by a responsible adult 21+. Place them at least 20 ft from windows, doors, and guest areas.
Remember: Our crew walks you through each concession machine and generator at setup. Every unit also has a QR code you can scan for quick how-to instructions. If anything looks or smells wrong, turn it off and call us.
Browse add-onsSun, heat & hydration
Central Florida sun is no joke. A little planning keeps the fun going without anyone overheating.
Surface heat check
In Florida sun, vinyl surfaces can get hot. Splash-test or hand-check the landing and bounce areas before letting riders in.
Shade & cool-down breaks
Provide shade breaks and water every 15–20 minutes on hot days. Watch for flushed faces, dizziness, or fatigue.
Use water slides to cool off
Water attractions are a great way to beat the heat, but they still need supervision and hydration between sessions.
Hydration station
Set up a water station near the inflatable. Encourage kids to drink before they feel thirsty, especially mid-summer.
Plan for the heat
- Set up a hydration station before guests arrive
- Schedule 15-minute shade breaks every hour
- Check bounce surfaces with a bare hand or splash test
- Keep infants and toddlers in shaded areas
Overnight & multi-day rentals
Keeping the fun going into the evening is great — as long as the unit is supervised, secured, and powered responsibly.
Adult must stay present
A responsible adult 21+ must remain on-site and supervise any overnight or after-dark use. No exceptions.
Secure against weather
The unit must never be left inflated overnight. Deflate it before dark and secure it against wind or storms.
Blowers off when not in use
Blowers must be turned off and the unit deflated whenever it is not in active, supervised use. Never leave blowers running overnight.
No unsupervised play
After-dark bouncing is only allowed with active adult supervision and good lighting around the setup area.
What voids Bounce Assurance coverage
Bounce Assurance covers accidental damage from normal use. It does not cover damage that happens when the safety guidelines aren't followed.
Age, weight & capacity limits
Every inflatable has a posted limit. Following it keeps riders safe and your Bounce Assurance coverage valid.
Age-appropriate use
Toddler units are for ages 0–4. Standard bounce houses are for ages 3–12. Adult/teen units are clearly marked and built with heavier material.
Weight limits matter
Every unit has a posted max rider weight and combined capacity. Exceeding either limit risks injury and voids your Bounce Assurance coverage.
Group riders by size
Keep toddlers, big kids, and adults in separate sessions. Mixed-size bouncing is the most common cause of collisions and falls.
Height & clearance
The unit needs room above and around it. Don't place it under low tree branches, awnings, or power lines.
Pets stay clear — inside and secured.
We love animals, but inflatables and pets don't mix. Keeping pets indoors protects the unit, your guests, and our crew.
Before we arrive: bring every pet inside and pick up the yard. Our crew will not begin setup or takedown until animals are secured.
Never on or near the unit
Pets are not allowed on or around inflatables at any time. Claws and teeth puncture vinyl, and pet waste or fur voids your Bounce Assurance coverage.
Inside during delivery & pickup
All pets must be secured indoors, crated, or in a separate fenced area before our crew arrives — both at drop-off and at pickup.
Crew safety comes first
Our team carries heavy equipment through your yard with limited visibility. A loose pet, even a friendly one, is a real injury risk for the crew and the animal.
We may pause the job
If pets are loose in the setup or takedown area, our crew will wait until they're secured. Delays caused by unsecured pets may add wait-time fees.
Clean the yard first
Pick up all pet waste before we arrive. It gets tracked into the unit and onto riders, and cleaning fees apply if the inflatable is soiled.
Pet damage is not covered
Punctures, tears, chew marks, and stains caused by animals fall outside Bounce Assurance and are billed as damage.
Pickup stays smooth.
A few minutes of prep before our crew arrives keeps takedown fast, safe, and on schedule.
Pickup window
Our crew arrives during the scheduled pickup window. Please have the unit empty and a clear path ready.
Empty at takedown
Make sure all children and guests are out of the unit before the crew begins deflating it.
Access path
Keep cars, bikes, and obstacles out of the path from the unit back to our truck. This speeds up pickup and prevents accidents.
Leave power connected
Keep blowers plugged in until our crew arrives so they can deflate and roll the unit properly.
